Lopin 2021 Domaine Berry - Althoff

GRAPE VARIETY & TERROIR: 100 % Cinsault on limestone from the Valenginien.

THE VINES: Estate vines located in Aujargues (Gard). Organically and biodynamically farmed (conversion towards Demeter). Yield 40hl/ha. Vines planted in 1969. Harvested by hand.

WINEMAKING: The grapes are destemmed and macerated for 12 days between 20 and 25°C. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged 12 months in oak vats (foudre), amphoras and 400L French oak barrels followed by 4 months in stainless steel tanks. Total SO2 < 15mg/L.

TASTING: The ruby color reflects the aromas of fresh strawberry. A complexe wine with delicat tannins, long minerality and peppery notes.

WHEN TO DRINK: Wine that can be appreciated throughout the years. Its drinkability makes it great to accompany many dishes, from the apero to the dessert, or even by itself.
